A ‘By The Cut of Their Cloth’ face in a new role!

Warren Reilly Studio recently partnered with The Mixed Museum, using secured funding from The BEING BRENT Fund for the 'By The Cut of Their Cloth' (BTCOTC) exhibition, which he co-curated. TMM’s largest exhibition to date, BTCOTC takes a look at 300 years of Brent’s multiracial history through the lens of fashion and art.

Building on the success of BTCOTC, The Mixed Museum is proud that Warren Reilly Studio will continue to work with the Museum as its Associate Creative Director. Warren Reilly Studio will be helping TMM to steer the creative direction of their forthcoming exhibitions and advise on the look and branding of the Museum as they move into their next phase of development.

Warren Reilly Studio was awarded the Being Brent Heritage for Health and Wellbeing Fund in the summer of 2021 to develop the BTCOTC Project with The Mixed Museum, in which ‘The Boy From Brent’ also explored his family heritage. In October 2022 Warren's work on BTCOTC saw him nominated as a finalist for the ‘Best Director’ category at The Creative Industry Awards. He has also contributed to A Queer Georgian Social Season, established by Les Bougies Baroques and Burgh House in Hampstead. Warren is currently the recipient of the Artist's Studio Company's two year studio residency in Alperton, supported by Brent Council until Summer 2023.

I never believed in my wildest dreams that I would be able to connect with an institution that reflects my own identity and visions as much as The Mixed Museum does. The support I have received has been overwhelming and I am so proud of all the achievements of By The Cut of Their Cloth. It is with great pleasure that I accept the title of Associate Creative Director and I look forward to continuing to strengthen my ties to the Museum and working on future projects that continue to champion the study of art, fashion and photography  and shine a light on untold stories reflecting mixed race and multicultural narratives, some of which have resulted in my very existence!
